What is "the FLag System™"?

It's EASY and it is the WORLD'S first app/wireless remote controlled flagpole. You can control your flagpole from anywhere in the world with our app! The Flag System™ is basically the brain and operational unit of our Patriot Series Flagpoles. It can however be added to existing flagpoles if they are a bolt down application. The Flag System™ is comprised of a few industry leading technologically advanced components which make having a smart flagpole possible. There is a wifi control box which our app and the wireless remote control both communicate with to send commands to your flagpole. The wifi control box is mounted seperately from the main mounting power control box. Within the main operational power box there is a thermal power kill switch just in case there is a malfunction in the automatic operation. It will not harm your flagpole. We also added a voltage stabilizer so the winch will run smoothly and at the same speed to avoid any slow spooling resulting in the flag not being hoisted fully. All parts and hardware are sealed and water tight so there is no worry of replacing these electronic components because they get wet. The main mounting power control box is a thick and heavy steel box locked down with tamper resistant bolts. Flagpoles up to 30' have a hinged power control box in which the flagpole can be lowered to the ground by hand for maintenance with ease and then pushed back up. Flagpoles larger than 30' have a side access power control box. There is a series of wires depending on The Flag System™ application you choose that run in to and out of the power control box, these wires are hidden undergroung and enter into the power control box through a PVC pipe to protect them from being hit or cut during any area maintenance. Inside of the power control box is the winch and battery. The winch is a 2000lb power utility winch which is controlled by our Flag Systems App or the wireless remote control. WIth our wireless remote control you have stop and start capabilities meaning the winch will only run as long as you push the button, once released the winch operation will halt. App control is automated and has three pre-set flag positions and can only be set to full staff, half-staff or all the way down for a flag changing or maintenance. To accompany the winch is a 35ah AGM or 55ah AGM deep cycle 12V battery. The battery is charged by a 100W solar panel equipped with a smart charging trickle charger so the battery is never overcharged.

Operational Functions of The Flag System™

With the App -Raise Flag- Flag will raise to the top of the flagpole from the “fully lowered” or “half-staff” position-Half-Staff- Flag will lower or raise to the “half-staff” position from the “fully lowered” or “Fully Raised” position-Lower Flag- Flag will lower from the “half-staff” or Fully Raised” position. With the Wireless Remote Control Full and complete control over cable position and winch operation. If you push the up button the flag will raise, if you push the down button the flag will come down, if you stop pushing the button the flag will stop in place. IMPORTANT If the flagpole is operated with the wireless remote control, make sure to restore the flag to the flag up or flag down position before using the app to control your flagpole again. Not doing so may result in the safety breaker being tripped.
